This seminar was a follow-up of Eurotherm 73 which was held in Mons, Belgium, in April 2003. Like the former, it was devoted to numerical methods in radiative transfer.

Eurotherm 78 was organised by the Heat Transfer Laboratory (LET) of the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Mécanique et d'Aérotechnique (ENSMA) Poitiers and was held at Hotel Plaza in the Futuroscope area, 15 km away from the center of Poitiers.

Computational Thermal Radiation in Participating Media III will be organized in 2009 by Professor Pedro Coelho, from Instituto Superior Tecnico (IST) Lisbon, and will be held in Lisbon, Portugal.
